What the school is

Ownership, campus and facilities

ISP opened in September 2011 through a partnership between Brighton Education Group and Perdana ParkCity, the developer of the Desa ParkCity township. The main school is at No. 1 Jalan Intisari. Nursery and Reception are taught at a separate, purpose-built Early Years Centre that opened in September 2016 next to the Desa ParkCity Club. ISP Hanoi in Vietnam is a sister school, opened in 2019. ISP is a full member of FOBISIA, the Federation of British International Schools in Asia.

Sports facilities on campus include two multi-purpose halls, two astroturf pitches, two rooftop games areas, a further sports hall and a six-lane swimming pool. Pupils also use the ParkCity Club, within walking distance of the school.

Academics and accreditation

Programmes, results and inspection

Nursery and Reception follow England’s Early Years Foundation Stage. Years 1–6 combine the International Primary Curriculum with the National Curriculum for England in English and mathematics, and Years 7–9 follow an adapted National Curriculum for England. Years 10–11 take Cambridge IGCSEs. The Sixth Form offers AS and A levels from Cambridge International and AQA, alongside the AQA Baccalaureate.

In its November 2022 International School Quality Mark inspection, ISP was judged Outstanding in all eight standards and kept its Gold accreditation; the school publishes the full report. For the Class of 2026, the school reports that A-level students averaged 0.53 grades above their CAT4-based predictions. It names leavers’ universities including Essex, Heriot-Watt, Kent, Sheffield Hallam, University of the Arts London and Scripps College.

Admissions and cost

2026–27 fees, registration and waivers

The 2026–27 fee schedule sets termly tuition from RM8,600 in Nursery to RM29,000 in Years 12–13, shown below as annual totals. Tuition is invoiced each term before it starts, and paying the full year in advance earns a 3% discount. A refundable deposit equal to one term’s tuition is due on enrolment. Fees exclude Sales and Service Tax, which applies at 6% where annual fees exceed RM60,000.

The application fee is RM1,500. Successful applicants pay a non-refundable registration fee within seven days of the offer: RM2,000 for Nursery and Reception, RM20,000 for Years 1–11 and RM10,000 for Years 12–13. Children moving from Reception to Year 1 pay a RM10,000 top-up. Desa ParkCity residents and property owners get 25% off registration, including families who move in during the first year. Third children get 25% off registration and 5% off tuition; fourth and later children get 50% and 10%. EAL support, where the school requires it, costs RM3,250 a term.

ISP describes itself as non-selective, but every applicant is assessed in person. Nursery and Reception children are seen by the Early Years team. Years 1–3 have an assessment and interview, and Years 4–13 sit CAT4 tests, a writing exercise and an interview. Applications need the admission form, a medical and health record and a signed home-school agreement. Children without a Malaysian passport need a visa before starting; the school advises starting a Student Pass application three months ahead.

The family experience

Township life and two drop-off points

Desa ParkCity has parks, shops and other facilities near the school. Families with a child in Nursery or Reception and an older child in the main school have two drop-off points, the Early Years Centre and Jalan Intisari.
