Governance and school community

JPGS is a not-for-profit school governed by a Board of Governors. Published profiles describe its COBIS affiliation, BSME membership and British Embassy support. WhichSchoolAdvisor reports pupils from around 50 nationalities and says most speak English as an additional language.

Published enrolment estimates differ: WhichSchoolAdvisor gives about 650 pupils, while the Good Schools Guide gives about 700. The former lists average class sizes of 18 in Foundation, 20 in primary and secondary, and 10 in sixth form; individual year groups vary. Its July 2026 update identifies Zoe Woolley as headmistress, following her arrival in August 2022 from Repton School Al Barsha.

Inspection history, results and sixth form

WhichSchoolAdvisor summarises the March 2022 British Schools Overseas inspection as finding that JPGS met all required standards. It reports strengths in teaching in Key Stages 4 and 5 and care in the Prep School. Recommendations concerned Prep School outcomes, assessment systems, governance and premises. These are historical findings relayed through the review; the underlying inspection report was not independently reviewed for this profile.

The review records 2022 IGCSE results of 54.3% A*–A, 80.7% A*–B and 92.9% A*–C. Its A-level figures for that year are 74.5% A*–A, 89.4% A*–B and 100% A*–C. These results do not describe current cohorts. The published pathway includes nine IGCSE subjects, followed by A levels, a BTEC Business option and an Extended Project Qualification. Reported sixth-form entry requirements are five IGCSEs at B or above, with at least C in English and mathematics; subject-specific requirements and course availability should be checked for the entry year.

The school describes targeted support for Oxford, Cambridge, medicine, veterinary science and dentistry applicants through a dedicated club. It also reports that most graduates receive university offers in the UK, US and Canada. Offers are different from final destinations; a recent leavers’ list with cohort numbers would help families assess progression.

The school’s admissions page, under a School Fees 2026-27 heading whose tuition rows are still labelled 2025-26, lists annual tuition of SAR 36,800 for F1 to SAR 79,925 for Years 12–13, including 15% VAT (SAR 32,000 to SAR 69,500 before VAT). It also lists non-refundable, VAT-inclusive charges of SAR 402.50 for application, SAR 977.50 for assessment and SAR 13,800 for admission and registration. Those joining charges total SAR 15,180. Using the listed Year 13 tuition gives SAR 95,105 before transport, examinations and other extras, where all joining fees apply. WhichSchoolAdvisor’s 2025–26 figures match.

The review describes six science laboratories, two computer labs, junior and senior libraries, a sixth-form study area, a gymnasium, two pools and a sports field. It also relays the 2022 inspection recommendation to update premises and describes renovation work. Which improvements have since been completed is best judged on a visit.

Small-school life in north Jeddah

The Al Naim campus is near Medina Road and the airport in north Jeddah. The review describes the Victoria, Newton and Imperial houses, form tutors, around 70 extracurricular activities, the Duke of Edinburgh International Award and participation in the SAIKAC and LISST sports leagues.
