What the school is

Governance and inspection evidence

The school states that it has no owners or shareholders and is governed by unpaid volunteer governors. It says fee income is reinvested in the school and that fees require Ministry of Education approval. Its published account of average annual increases of around 4% describes past changes, not a forecast for your child’s future fees.

The school’s history records that 14 companies sponsored a revised constitution in 1975, taking over management from the church. The number of founder companies reached 18 by 1995. The constitution reserves between five and eight board seats for founder companies; the published list includes ALBA, Bapco, Gulf Air, HSBC, Investcorp, Standard Chartered and YBA Kanoo.

The BQA annual report for 2020 records an Outstanding judgement for St Christopher’s. This is historical evidence, even though the PDF is hosted in a later upload directory. Bahrain’s Education and Training Quality Authority publishes school review reports on a four-point scale. The 2020 rating is not a current judgement.

Admissions and cost

2026–27 tuition and joining costs

The published 2026–27 tuition figures cited here are BHD 3,096 for half-day nursery; BHD 4,872 for full-day nursery and Reception–Year 2; BHD 5,415 for Years 3–6; BHD 6,600 for Years 7–8; BHD 7,938 for Years 9–11; and BHD 9,090 for Years 12–13. GCSE, A-level and IB examination charges are additional.

The application fee is BHD 100 per child and the registration fee on receiving a place is BHD 1,250; both are non-refundable. With Year 7 tuition of BHD 6,600, these listed first-year charges total BHD 7,950 before transport and other extras. The school states that it does not offer sibling discounts or accept applications more than one year before the intended entry date.

The published payment terms require fees by the last day of the preceding term. Instrumental tuition and EAL support for some Infant pupils may carry separate charges; support required for admission belongs in your budget.

The school’s published transport page describes routes across Bahrain and to Al Khobar and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. For a Saudi address, the pick-up point, route availability, border requirements and total journey time all shape the day. A listed destination does not guarantee a suitable daily route for every home.

Ask how the operator handles border delays, missed school time, illness during the day and collection after activities, and get the route price and supervision arrangements in writing. Some third-party listings say no service is available; the school’s own transport page is the authority.

The family experience

Two campuses, three sixth-form pathways, one big community

The school has Infant and Junior provision on a primary campus and a separate Senior School, so siblings in different phases may travel to different addresses. Published profiles describe sport, music, dance, drama and school trips; some activities cost extra.
