DAA is operated by GEMS Education, a for-profit school group. Sources give its founding year as either 1997 or 1998. Families expecting a later move within the GEMS network should ask about transfer arrangements at the receiving school rather than assume that group membership guarantees a place.

The official 2026–27 schedule lists annual tuition of AED 66,185 for KG1 and KG2 and AED 93,300 for Grades 1–12, unchanged from 2025–26. Payments are split across three terms in shares of 40%, 30% and 30%. The fee page lists loaned books, an iPad in Elementary and Middle School, and internal after-school activities as inclusions. Middle and High School pupils also supply a laptop. Uniform, daily transport, lunch and external activities cost extra. The cited 2026–27 tuition-freeze reporting is consistent with the unchanged figures.

From 2026–27, the fee page lists an annual AED 10,000 charge for eligible pupils in the English Language Learner programme, from KG2 to Grade 12. The published sibling concessions are 15% for the fourth child and 25% for the fifth and subsequent children. Application costs AED 525 including VAT; reported registration and re-enrolment payments are 10% and 5% of annual tuition respectively. Ask whether they are credited against tuition or refundable before adding them to a first-year budget.
